About Us

Our Story: 60 Years of Serving Healthy Food & Continuing…

In 1960, Mr Kuppanna and his wife Mrs Rukmani Kuppanna decided to follow their passion for cooking and serving food and thus Junior Kuppanna restaurant was started in Erode, a city in the western part of Tamil Nadu – known as the Kongu Nadu belt of south India.

Kongu Nadu is known for its endearing Tamil dialect and appetizing nutritious food, infused with the goodness of homegrown spices and coconut (or sesame) oil. What adds the tempting flavour to our signature dishes is the use of freshly-ground spices and cold-pressed oil. Kongu Cuisine is famous for its spice-laden curries, Seeraga Samba rice, and various other specialities made with rice and millets.

Having crafted and perfected these delicacies for decades, Junior Kuppanna’s vision is to expand to various parts of the world and make people experience the unique taste of Kongu Nadu Cuisine and feel the authentic flavor of the delicious yet wholesome vegan, vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes.
